The middle school years bring a unique kind of growth.
As they grow, the questions begin to change:
Who am I, and who is God creating me to be?
Where do I belong?
How do I make wise choices when things get complicated?
Will I have people around me who know me, challenge me, and care about who I’m becoming?
At Resurrection Christian School, we see these years as an important opportunity to walk closely with students as they grow in faith, character, confidence, and independence. We come alongside each student with teachers and mentors who know them well, challenging them academically while helping them develop a biblical worldview and discover how their gifts and strengths can be used for God’s purposes.
We invite you to explore the experiences and relationships that make RCS middle school a place where students can grow into who God is calling them to become.

Educational Philosophy
At RCS, we know every student grows in their own way.
Middle school is a season of change, discovery, and growing independence, and we believe students need both room to grow and people who will walk alongside them. Through strong partnerships with families, teachers, and mentors, we provide the guidance, encouragement, and opportunities students need to develop their strengths, deepen their faith, and take increasing ownership of who they are becoming.
Boldly Christian
Faith that influences every part of life.
Middle school is a pivotal time for students to begin asking deeper questions about faith, identity, and the world around them. At RCS, students are challenged to engage with Scripture, think critically about what they believe, and recognize how their faith shapes the way they respond to everyday life. Chapel, discipleship, worship, service, and relationships with teachers and mentors create opportunities for students to put their faith into practice—not simply as something they learn, but as something that increasingly shapes who they are.
Academically Equipped
Learning that prepares students to pursue their calling.
Students are challenged to grow academically while developing the skills and habits that will serve them well in high school and beyond. Strong instruction, thoughtful guidance, and opportunities to think critically help students become more independent learners and begin to recognize the subjects and areas where they thrive. Teachers encourage students to take ownership of their learning while providing the support and challenge they need to keep growing.
Globally Prepared
Discovering how God can use their gifts to impact the world.
Middle school students need opportunities to take what they’re learning and put it into practice. At RCS, students are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, take on responsibility, serve others, and discover where their strengths can make a difference. Through leadership opportunities, service experiences, extracurricular involvement, and participation in the broader school community, students begin to see how their gifts can be used with purpose and how their choices can positively influence those around them.
Program Distinctives
They’re asking bigger questions, taking on new responsibilities, and learning how to make choices for themselves. At RCS, we’ve intentionally designed the middle school experience to meet students in this season—giving them the support to navigate change, the freedom to discover their strengths, and the relationships that help them grow into the people God created them to be.

Academic Pathways
No two students are exactly alike, and middle school is an important time for students to discover what makes them unique. At RCS, we give students the opportunity to explore their interests, develop their strengths, and try new things in an environment where they are supported and encouraged to grow.
With so many ways to learn, participate, and grow, students can begin to recognize their strengths and develop a clearer sense of the gifts God has given them.
Exciting Extracurriculars
Some of the most memorable moments of high school happen outside the classroom. Extracurricular involvement helps RCS students discover their skills and develop lifelong friendships.
Intentional Mentorship
One of the things families consistently appreciate about RCS is the way our teachers, administrators, and staff invest in the lives of students. Middle school can be a season of significant change, and having trusted adults who know them well can make all the difference. Our teachers and staff walk alongside students as they navigate new challenges, discover their strengths, and grow in confidence and independence.

Ministry, Service & Spiritual Life
Faith formation at RCS goes beyond a class or a weekly chapel—it happens through the relationships, conversations, and experiences that shape students throughout the week. Middle school is a time when students begin asking deeper questions and taking greater ownership of what they believe. We give them space to wrestle with those questions, engage with Scripture, and see what it looks like to follow Christ in everyday life.

Community & Safety

A Place To Belong
For many students, some of the most meaningful lessons of middle school are learned through relationships. At RCS, students become part of a community that celebrates together, worships together, serves together, and grows together. Weekly chapel gatherings provide opportunities to pause and focus on what matters most. The annual retreats give students time to create memories that often become some of their favorite parts of middle school.
Safety Built on Faith, Relationships, and Responsibility
Here, students are surrounded by people who see their work as a ministry. They invest in students’ lives and help teens navigate the opportunities and challenges of middle school through biblical truth. As students learn to treat one another with respect, integrity, and compassion, they contribute to a community where healthy relationships can flourish.
This Christ-centered culture is reinforced by thoughtful campus safety procedures and security measures that help provide peace of mind for families. Together, strong relationships and a shared commitment to Christian character create an environment at RCS where students can focus on learning and preparing for the future.
