ACADEMIC ADVISOR – 9th & 10th

ASSESSMENTS:

  • ASVAB: October 8th at 8:00 AM (if you signed up, meet in the high school office) 
  • PSAT: October 9th at 8:00 AM (if you signed up, meet in the high school office)
  • Pre-ACT: All students will be taking the Pre-ACT (paper) on October 14th at 8:00 AM at RCS. It is a half day for students. 

Senior Workshops:

On Wednesday, October 14th, seniors are required to attend College Prep Workshops if they are college-bound, or Construction Con if they are pursuing a career in the trades.

Workshops will be held at Citipointe Church from 8:00 to 11:00 am.

Seniors can choose two out of three offered workshops to attend:

  • College Application Case Study with Kylie Duval, University of Tennessee Representative
  • Essay Workshop with Mrs. Townsend and Mrs. Deelefs
  • Application and Scholarship Workshop with Mrs. McConahy

Pre-ACT and Pre-ACT 8/9: All RCS 9th-11th Grade Students 

  • All 11th grade RCS students will take the Pre-ACT 8/9 orPre-ACT on October 14th at 8:00 AM at RCS. The cost of this assessment is included in students’ tuition.
  • During the fall testing administration, students will take the assessment on paper.
  • The test will last approximately 3.5 hours, and students will be dismissed afterwards, as this is a half-day of school.
  • During the fall assessment, we will only give accommodations for medical and health reasons. Extended time accommodations will only be submitted for the ACT in the spring. All students will take the standard time assessment for the Pre-ACT in the fall.

ACT: All RCS 11th Grade Students 

  • All 11th grade RCS students will take the ACT on April 14th at 8:00 AM. The cost of this assessment is included in students’ tuition.
  • During the spring testing administration, students will take the assessment online.
  • The test will last approximately 3.5 hours, and students will be dismissed afterwards, as this is a half-day of school.
  • RCS will submit an accommodations request for any student needing a health or extended time accommodation. For questions regarding accommodations, please reach out to Mrs. Ness in the IED department.
