The journey through vocal music at RCS begins in our earliest grades and extends through senior year.
But more than anything, our vocal music program teaches students why they sing: to glorify God and bless others with the gifts He has given them.
Vocal Music by Division
Elementary
K–5th Grade
Every elementary student participates in weekly music classes, building foundational skills in pitch, rhythm, and ensemble singing from their very first year at RCS.
Bella Voce — Elementary Honor Choir
Our elementary honor choir gives young singers their first taste of performance at the next level. Bella Voce travels to larger venues across the region and has performed for crowds at Colorado Eagles and Colorado Rockies games — an unforgettable experience for a young performer (and their parents in the stands).
Middle School
Grade 6-8
Middle school students may choose choir as a course elective, continuing their vocal development in a full ensemble setting with regular concert performances throughout the year. These years build the technique, music literacy, and stage confidence that prepare students for high school ensembles.
Middle school singers also have the opportunity to audition for one of our specialized ensembles:
High School
Grade 9-12
High school singers choose from a range of choral courses and performance opportunities, including concerts, worship leadership, and competition at the district, state, and national levels.
Serenata — High School Honor Choir
Our premier high school vocal ensemble, Serenata, represents the pinnacle of the RCS choral program — an auditioned group of singers pursuing advanced repertoire and performing at showcase events throughout the year.
