About Our Program

Resurrection Christian School places a strong emphasis on nurturing creativity and critical thinking skills within our fine arts program. This program enriches the educational, spiritual, and cultural lives of our students in Loveland. With a diverse offering of courses in the performing, musical, and visual arts, our students channel their talents to glorify God and make a positive impact on others.

For our elementary students, from pre-K through fifth grade, weekly music and art classes provide a platform for them to explore and uncover their unique abilities. In middle school, students have the choice of band or choir as a course elective. Additionally, they can engage in a fall semester drama class, providing an opportunity to experience the excitement of performing in front of a live audience and collaborating to create meaningful, high-quality productions. High school students have a range of courses to choose from in band, choir, and the performing arts, with opportunities to compete at district, state, and even national levels.

Fine Arts Programs at RCS

Vocal Music

At RCS, the journey through vocal music commences in preschool and extends throughout the high school years. Our students are not only inspired to grasp the diverse cultural influences that mold vocal music but also provided with opportunities to showcase their talents in a variety of settings, including full choral ensembles, smaller groups, and worship performances.

Instrumental Music

Our musical arts program leaders are dedicated to igniting inspiration, providing education, and cultivating the skills of budding musicians as they delve into their talents with an unwavering commitment to musical excellence. We actively promote and foster individuality and self-expression across all aspects of musical education.

Theater

Students will be immersed in the world of acting, and musical theatre, as well as design and production, providing a comprehensive experience. Our goal is to guide students toward greater self-awareness and self-expression as they delve into their God-given talents and artistic capabilities.

Visual Arts

Creativity and imagination are fostered through a blend of both traditional and contemporary methods, materials, and concepts. Our students have access to a diverse array of course options, allowing them to develop their artistic techniques and unleash their creativity. They are encouraged to delve into the profound role and influence of visual arts in the world that surrounds them.

The RCS Fine Arts program is a critical element of our overall curriculum. We study the created to better understand the Creator. One is never more like God than when being creative. Our goal is to achieve the directive laid out in Philippians 4:8 which reminds us,
