Supporting Teacher Growth and Excellence at RCS
At Resurrection Christian School (RCS), we believe that great teachers create great disciples. We are committed to investing in the growth and development of our faculty, equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to excel in their roles and cultivate a Christ-centered learning environment. Through a comprehensive induction program, ongoing mentorship, regular curriculum reviews, and a focus on biblical integration, we ensure that every teacher at RCS is empowered to lead with confidence, creativity, and faith.
New Teacher Induction and Mentoring Program
Starting a teaching career—or transitioning to a new school—can be a daunting experience, which is why RCS has created the New Teacher Induction and Mentoring Program to guide and support educators during their first three years at RCS.
The goal of the program is to provide teachers with the necessary training to obtain or advance their professional license while developing a solid understanding of instructional pedagogy, classroom management, and grade-level or subject-area expectations. Each new teacher is paired with a mentor and supported by a team of school administrators who are committed to ensuring a successful transition into the RCS culture.
This collaborative approach allows new teachers to:
✅ Receive individualized guidance and feedback.
✅ Gain confidence in classroom management and instructional methods.
✅ Align their teaching with the school’s mission and faith-based principles.
Through regular meetings and intentional mentorship, new teachers not only grow professionally but also develop a deeper sense of belonging within the RCS community.
Curriculum Review: Ensuring Excellence Every Two Years
RCS is committed to maintaining a rigorous, relevant, and Christ-centered curriculum that meets the evolving needs of our students. To ensure that our educational content remains aligned with academic standards and best practices, we conduct a comprehensive curriculum review every two years.
The purpose of this systematic review is to:
📚 Assess the effectiveness of our current curriculum in meeting academic standards.
💡 Integrate new research, teaching strategies, and biblical principles to enhance student outcomes.
🔄 Adapt to changes in educational requirements, technology, and societal developments.
🙏 Maintain a mission-driven approach to academic excellence and spiritual growth.
This commitment to regular curriculum evaluation ensures that our students receive an education that is both academically challenging and rooted in biblical truth.
Mentorship Program: Building Confidence and Community
The New Teacher Mentor Program at RCS plays a crucial role in equipping teachers to thrive. New faculty members meet regularly with an assigned mentor to collaborate, plan, and share ideas that support student learning and engagement. This program creates a supportive environment where teachers can ask questions, reflect on their teaching, and explore new strategies to enhance their effectiveness.
By fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning, the mentorship program helps new teachers feel empowered, valued, and confident as they grow in their role.
Beyond Biblical Integration: Developing a Biblical Worldview
At RCS, biblical integration is more than just incorporating Scripture into lesson plans—it’s about shaping the way students think, desire, and act in accordance with God’s Word. To equip teachers with the knowledge and tools to develop a biblical worldview in their students, RCS provides extensive training and resources that focus on helping children understand how to apply biblical truth to every aspect of their lives.
This intentional approach to faith integration ensures that RCS students graduate not only with strong academic foundations but also with hearts and minds that are deeply rooted in biblical principles.
