RCS Entrepreneurs Shine Bright in National Pitch Competition – Over $12,000 Earned!
We are beyond excited to share some incredible news from the halls of Resurrection Christian School — our student entrepreneurs have once again made waves on the national stage!
For the second year in a row, students in the RCS business program have competed in the prestigious Boss Club National Pitch Competition, and their performance has been nothing short of extraordinary. Two years ago, our trailblazing students made history by winning two of the three top national awards — an accomplishment no other school had ever achieved.
This year, they’ve done it again — and then some.
Hannah Finnman earned an honorable mention for her all-natural dog treat company, “Fitzy’s Biscuits”. Her hard work, branding, and heart for pets earned her a national trophy and recognition for innovation in the growing pet market.
Luke Yowell took things to the next level with his car detailing business, “Vertex Services.” Not only did Luke win 1st place in the national competition — securing a trophy and $500 cash prize — but he was also named Runner-Up for Entrepreneur of the Year, a distinction that speaks volumes about his vision and dedication.
And to top it all off, Lawson Hale received the highest individual honor: Entrepreneur of the Year for his company, “Rolling Dough,” a gourmet cookie business that wowed both customers and judges alike.
But here’s the real kicker — beyond the awards and trophies, the students in Mr. Helman’s business classes collectively earned nearly $14,000 running their own businesses this year! These students didn’t just learn business concepts — they lived them, building real companies, generating real revenue, and gaining invaluable real-world experience.
