How to Celebrate & Appreciate Your Child’s Teachers
Today may be International Teacher’s Day, but here at Resurrection Christian School in Loveland, we love to make our excellent teachers feel appreciated every day. After all, RCS teachers dedicate a lot of time and energy to our students, both in and out of the classroom. They play a huge role in supporting, coaching, mentoring, and shaping young lives forever.
For International Teacher’s Day, show your child’s teachers how much you appreciate the role they play in all of our lives! At Resurrection Christian School in Loveland, we wouldn’t be the school that we are today without our amazing teachers — here are a few ways to show them some much-deserved appreciation:
Lend a Helping Hand
Teachers spend a lot of time in their classrooms before, during, and after school. You may even find some at the school on weekends and holidays. Sometimes, the best way to show your appreciation for your children’s teachers is to offer your time or assistance. Check in with your teachers to see if they need a hand cleaning up or organizing the classroom, setting up or displaying classroom projects, or helping with various school events.
Give a Gift
This may seem typical, but sometimes a simple cup of coffee can show how much you appreciate the teachers at our school. It doesn’t have to be a cup of coffee, either. Find out what your teachers like, be it plants, movies, or books, and you’ll be sure to bring a smile to their faces with a simple gift to express your gratitude.
Be an Advocate
Another great way to celebrate and appreciate your child’s teachers is by being their ally and advocate. Support them through challenges they may be facing in the classroom, provide good feedback to the school administration and other parents, and just be there for them to ensure they have everything they need to keep doing an excellent job.
The role that teachers at Resurrection Christian play in the lives of our students is unmatched. If you haven’t told your teachers “thank you” lately, be sure to make an extra effort to show your gratitude this week! You never know how your kind words and actions may impact the lives of the people around you.
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
1 Thessalonians 5:11
