Back-to-School Basics – Getting Organized for a Successful Start

The countdown to the first day is on! Whether you’re a returning family or new to RCS, taking a little time to get organized now can lead to a smooth and confident start to the school year.

Here are a few helpful reminders to get your family ready:

• Check your email for class supply lists and key dates. RCS keeps you informed through email and Parent Portal updates—stay connected!

• Get back into a routine. Shift bedtime and morning routines a week or two in advance so those first early mornings aren’t a shock.

• Label everything. Backpacks, lunchboxes, water bottles—if it’s not nailed down, label it!

• Review RCS’s mission and values as a family. Help your child see that they’re not just going to school—they’re joining a community that values faith, excellence, and service.
